Met Office issue weather warnings for dense Fog in parts of the UK

Regions and local authorities affected:

London & South East England North West England South West England Wales West Midlands Yorkshire & Humber

Fog has affected many areas overnight into this morning. The warning has been updated by reducing its eastward extent, to reflect recent lifting of fog across parts of the Midlands and southern England. Slower journey times are possible and there is a chance of delays to flights.

Chief Forecaster's assessment
While visibilities are still below 100 metres in places, fog will thin from the east this morning. However, some patches may persist into the afternoon in the west of the warning area.
