Brad Pitt pledged to pay $120,000 to watch ‘Game Of Thrones’ with Daenerys Targaryen

Looks like Brad Pitt is a big Game of Thrones fan or, at least, a fan of the show’s star Emilia Clarke

Seems like Jon Snow might have some competition. Recently, actor and producer Brad Pitt acknowledged his love for the show by attempting to drop over a hundred thousand big ones just to watch an episode with Queen Daenerys Targaryen herself, Emilia Clarke.

On Saturday night, the 54-year-old A-List actor attended, long-time friend Sean Penn's, 7th Annual Sean Penn & Friends Haiti Rising Gala benefiting J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

According to People magazine, during the beginning of the event, Pitt seemed to more interested in his phone then the gala. That all stopped when the auctioneer announced, it was time to bid for the chance to watch an episode of HBO's mega-hit show "Game Of Thrones" with actress Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen).

This particular bid caught Pitt's attention and he started to take part in the bidding. First, the Mr. &  Mrs. Smith actor offered up $80,000, then $90,000. However, he increased his bid to $120,000 when it was announced that Jon Snow himself Kit Harrington was also going to watch the show with the winner.

Unfortunately, the bidding went up to $160,000, Pitt couldn't keep up and lost the bid to a woman and her husband. Maybe $160K was a bit too high for the recently divorced, father of six. Even though Pitt didn’t wind up winning, he appeared to be in good spirits as he laughed hysterically over his loss.

When is Game of Thrones returning?

The charity event was attended by other A-Listers like Lena Dunham, Jason Segel, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) to name a few. By night’s end, the gala raised $37 million and the money will go on to fund J/P HRO’s relief efforts in Haiti.

As for the return of GoT, eager fans will have a long wait ahead. HBO confirmed that the highly anticipated final season of their mega-hit show would not be airing until 2019.
